Summary
Mending The New was a Colombian interdisciplinary project that brought together university researchers with four collectives of women from who use textile-making to process the grief and trauma suffered through the country's armed conflict. The focus was to explore what reconciliation means to them and how material metaphors in textile-electronic media can express reconciliation, creating spaces of shared reflection.
The project was funded by the Newton-Caldas fund, led by researcher Tania Pérez-Bustos and developed with an interdisciplinary team.
